Euromonitor is recruiting for an Associate Analyst - German/French speaking role as part of the fast paced and dynamic consulting research team based in Dusseldorf, Germany. The position will report to a Consulting Manager with day-to-day reporting for specific projects to other Consultants in the European and MEAI region. The Associate Analyst role is critical to the strength and quality of our project deliverables and contributes to the overall project management process through producing high-quality research insights and analysis.

The individual must be self-starting, enjoys working with and in a team and takes ownership for his/her role in ensuring we execute at the highest level and service standards to attain high client satisfaction. Key responsibilities:
Project Execution
The Associate Analyst works closely with our consultants (Project managers/directors) on project planning, briefing, research, analysis, data modelling and project finalisation. The Associate Analyst's key responsibilities are primary and secondary research, data analysis, and report writing.
Secondary Research: Utilize in house resources and external published information to clearly understand the market/industry and companies under review. Also identify key contacts for primary interviews. Primary Interviewing: Conduct interviews with trade associations, leading companies, any other relevant players in the market as well as internal Euromonitor colleagues to gain insights to meet specific custom research objectives. Data/Insights analysis: Validate market data, information including integrity of company and brand information and scrutinising data proactively and as a result of client queries Report writing: Prepares market summaries for industry sources at pre-interview phase to encourage participation. Prepares and writes company/industry reports and/or management summaries or final deliverables. Review and analyse: Assist with the review of all generated materials via querying, checks and validation and final interpretation of data and analysis to fully meet client objectives. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive collaboration within the consulting team and across functions, working closely with Syndicated team members for projects and other internal initiatives Continued upkeep of all folders and materials associated with current projects to ensure that all information is easily accessible to other relevant Euromonitor personnel. Share new resources with colleagues and seek out new sources of information. Mixed methods: Utilize in-house data, tools, primary sources, survey, and other sources to effectively answer key client questions and meet research objectives
Further, the Associate Analyst can expect to get involved with:
Project Set-up:
Assisting in the planning of projects including assistance with the development of briefs, templates, and other supporting materials necessary for meeting all project objectives. Conducting preliminary research into new project areas to develop more useful project documents.
Client Communication:
Being connected directly with clients on a regular basis under the guidance of global project manager, including assisting with the delivery of findings in face to face/conference call/ presentations. Understanding, maintaining and developing the relationship between Euromonitor and any custom research client.
Syndicated Research
When capacity allows, the Associate Analyst will support the Syndicated Research Team on their research projects for our syndicated Passport platform utilising their primary and secondary research and analysis skills. The focus for this will be on the DACH region. As they progress in the organisation, both Consulting and Passport Research career paths are avenues open to them.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Bachelors or Master's degree with ideally some research and/or consulting and field/primary research experience or could be freshly graduated from university Problem solving attitude and a learning mindset Fluency in German and English is required. Fluency in French would be a strong advantage. Experience evaluating, manipulating, and analysing large data sets from different sources would be a PLUS Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines Experience of building strategic analysis, presentations and report writing would be an advantage Knowledge of other research methodologies or data analytics would be a plus
Depending on level of experience, this role could be hired at Consulting Analyst level (for candidates with more than 1-2 years of directly relevant professional experience).
