Introduction
We are seeking a hands‑on CIM Manager to lead a 12‑person team responsible for the operation, administration, upgrade, monitoring and engineering of core CIM/MES applications that power our high‑volume semiconductor fab. You will be accountable for service reliability and performance across our manufacturing systems stack (e.g., MES, dispatch/APF, recipe/APC/FDC, data store/replication, monitoring, message bus, tool integration), partnering closely with Fab Operations, Equipment Engineering, IT Infrastructure/Database/Network, and Facilities.
This position reports to the Head of IT Operations EMEA.
Your Job
Lead & Develop the Team: Manage, coach, and grow a 12‑engineer organization covering L2 operations, L3 application engineering, and release/upgrade leads; build on‑call rotations and skills matrices; drive a strong safety, quality, and learning culture.
Own Service Reliability (SLOs/SLAs): Establish and track availability, MTTR, and change success metrics; run incident postmortems and problem management with corrective/preventive actions following our corporate ITSM/ITIL and Fab Quality processes.
Operate the CIM Application Platform: Ensure 24×7 stability of fab systems such as MES, RTD, Recipe Management & Fab Setup, APC/FDC/SPC platforms, MQ integrations, Fab Visualization/User Interfaces, Reporting.
Plan & Execute Upgrades: Own annual/quarterly upgrade roadmaps (MES and satellite applications), cutover planning and rollback readiness; maintain staging/integration/test environments; coordinate vendor releases and internal dependencies using IT Change Management procedures.
Drive Engineering & Automation: Reduce toil with scripting/automation for health checks, deployments; improve observability and alert fidelity across app, DB, and MQ layers.
Security, Access & Compliance: Enforce UAM principles for MES (role‑based access, least privilege) and ensure alignment with IT Operational/Security standards.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Serve as point of contact for Fab Operations, AMHS, corporate IT, and vendors; prioritize a transparent backlog; manage OPEX/CAPEX within budget.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze incident/change telemetry, fab move‑loss correlations, and availability trends to prioritize improvements that increase throughput and resilience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
8+ years in CIM/MES/Factory Automation for semiconductor or similar high‑volume manufacturing; 3+ years leading engineers in 24×7 production environments.
Proven ownership of MES and satellite apps (RTD, Setup, Recipe, APC, FDC, SPC, …) including upgrades, cutovers, and vendor coordination.
Strong command of ITIL/ITSM practices across Incident, Problem, Change, Service Transition; experienced with ServiceNow or equivalent.
Databases (Oracle/SQL Server), Windows/Linux, messaging (MQ), and observability tooling.
Excellent leadership, prioritization, and communication skills; ability to influence cross‑functionally in a high-volume fab environment.
Language fluency: English (written & verbal); German a plus.
Travel: up to 10% (as needed for multi‑fab alignment or vendor engagements).
