You want to work in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and drive the positive change in the fashion industry? To support Change Room’s activates and new project development, we are looking for a motivated Community & Social Media Intern to join our team!

Duration: 4-6 months, full-time or part-time

Starting date: By arrangement

Location: Home-based

Change Room is a knowledge and community platform, which connects sustainably driven fashion entrepreneurs and innovators with conscious consumers and established firms, jointly rediscovering and shaping the future of fashion. Düsseldorf based but internationally minded, we are empowering people and businesses via collective mind-set, creativity and crafts.

With a mission of “Doing Business Differently”, the Change Room team is committed to supporting impact-driven startups and individual innovators active in the fashion, beauty and retail space. As a professional network we are well connected and link experts from all areas for joint learning and exchange, thus providing a platform for conscious and interdisciplinary dialogue on both national and international level.

Our team is currently entirely home-based. We use Zoom, Google Drive and other online platforms to work together collaboratively and efficiently. When possible, once or twice a month, we meet in person as a team in Düsseldorf.

About the Role

• Create and curate creative and educational content: blog articles, interviews, image and video material
• Manage day-to-day social media content across all Change Room channels
• Build press relations and source new editorial opportunities
• Build and facilitate an active network of sustainable fashion influencers, entrepreneurs, innovators and NGOs
• Research sustainability trends, brands and organizations (possible in combination with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Thesis)
• Manage collaboration with the global Fashion Revolution movement
• Support organization of online events and workshops

Your Profile

• You are passionate about fashion and creative industries
• You are interested in sustainability and social entrepreneurship
• You have already completed the first half of your studies in Communication, Media & Design, Marketing or Business Administration
• You gathered experience in marketing, social media management and press communication during studies or practical work experience
• You enjoy researching new and emerging trends
• You enjoy creating innovative and entertaining content
• You are confident in using Photoshop and other graphic design tools
• You are a clear and confident communicator in English language
• You enjoy working with people and different cultures
