We are seeking a qualified Consultant Pathologist to join a highly reputable hospital in the Greater Leipzig region. This position offers direct employment with the hospital and comprehensive support throughout the application process by Doc PersonalBeratung, free of charge and confidential.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You hold a valid German medical license with board certification as a Consultant Pathologist (Facharzt/Fachärztin) with specialization in pathology.
  • You have substantial professional experience in diagnostic pathology, particularly in tumor pathology.
  • You demonstrate strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration with clinical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • High reliability, responsibility, and flexibility in scheduling and work duties.
  • Experience with quality assurance, accreditation standards, and diagnostic reporting is highly valued.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independent evaluation and diagnosis of a broad spectrum of pathological specimens, including biopsies, resections, and cytology samples.
  • Conducting autopsies and pathological dissections as part of diagnostic workflows.
  • Active participation and leadership in multidisciplinary tumor boards, contributing expert pathological insights.
  • Oversight of laboratory quality control processes and adherence to national and international accreditation standards.
  • Collaboration in teaching and mentoring medical students and junior staff.
  • Contribution to clinical research projects and continuous professional development.
