We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and commercially driven Director of Revenue Management to lead our revenue agenda and optimize profitability across all revenue streams at Hotel Bristol Berlin, one of Berlin’s most iconic hotel addresses.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Management:

  • Lead the revenue management strategy for defined markets and contribute as an individual in close collaboration with the Revenue Manager.
  • Hire, train, and manage the revenue management team to consistently deliver the revenue agenda.
  • Guide and train Reservations and Front Office teams to optimize revenue opportunities.

Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Focus on Total Revenue Management for the property, including substantial Food & Beverage contributions.
  • Oversee and present revenue reports to all stakeholders.
  • Support and lead the Revenue Manager in preparing accurate forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) using all available forecasting tools and systems.

Strategy & Analysis:

  • Develop and present annual budgets and 5-year long-range plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Analyze monthly Rooms and F&B performance reports, driving initiatives for profitability improvements.
  • Evaluate conference business in-house and define profit-maximizing strategies.
  • Conduct displacement analysis for group business as required.
  • Use booking pace and pick-up reports to identify trends and recommend tactical or strategic changes.

Inventory Management:

  • Lead regular rate strategy meetings, implementing transient and group pricing via RMS and CRS systems.
  • Perform spot checks on tentative and confirmed group bookings to ensure strategy compliance.

Pricing & Distribution:

  • Support Revenue Manager in weekly strategy meetings to evaluate rates, demand, and availability controls.
  • Review pricing strategies for all market segments and distribution channels, ensuring parity and competitiveness.
  • Develop annual transient pricing strategy in line with market demand and business objectives.

Competitive & Demand Analysis:

  • Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and demand generators consistently.
  • Maintain demand, convention, and city event calendars.
  • Conduct value assessments of the competitive set twice a year together with Revenue Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Maintain and analyze historical performance data for future planning.

Your Profile

  • Several years of professional experience in hotel revenue management
  • Strong analytical skills and an affinity for numbers
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate analysis into action
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English (written & spoken)
  • Proficient in MS Office, Opera PMS, and ideally with RMS tools such as Duetto, Fornova, STR, and Lighthouse
  • Structured, proactive, and collaborative working style
