This is a unique opportunity to join us as a Finance Director EMEA (m/f/d) reporting to the Finance Director Global Bearings.

The position covers 6 manufacturing plants and has 6 Plant Controllers as direct reports.

This position should be located Wiesbaden. If other location in Germany the Group Controller should be present onsite in Wiesbaden at least 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides financial analysis support to the business operating management
  • Assists in the development and management of the budget, including ongoing variance analysis
  • Participates in the monthly/quarterly/annual consolidated forecast
  • Participates in the consolidation of the business plan at the group level
  • Provides financial analysis and control covering diverse financial issues, e.g., leasing, capitalization, assets, projects, allocations
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the business unit, including its various locations along with corporate financial management
  • Ensures compliance with global financial policies and procedures, including US GAAP and local reporting requirements
  • Participate and supports Customer Financial Services as required, including financial risk analysis for customers and suppliers, review and implementation of global A/P and A/R processing requirements and improvements
  • Provides financial analysis and control for projects and major initiatives
  • Provides support as needed to various manufacturing sites and R&D center
  • SOX reporting and testing
  • Internal controls
  • Daily/Monthly accounting and provision reviews in accordance with GAAP
  • Balance sheet review and control
  • Support internal audit requirements across the region ensuring observations and deficiencies are reported and remediated timely and effectively. Provide support to business units to apply corrective actions as identified by Internal Audit
  • Review corrective actions and implement as appropriate across the remainder of the businesses
  • Ensuring month end reporting and reconciliation requirements are in accordance with company policies
  • Prepare and analyze Division Cashflow forecasting and analysis of related metrics. Monthly forecasting responsibility including Trade Working Capital balances, Other Assets and Liabilities, Capital Expenditures and Restructuring Payments
  • Analyze Days metrics - trending and variance analysis - DSO, DOH, DPO
  • Work with regional Controllers to address key accounting issues and local legal and tax related requirements
Required Skills
  • Minimum 8 years related experience in manufacturing environment. Automotive preferred.
  • Language: English and German proficiency (written and verbal required)
  • Significant capability, drive and initiative to create and manage own work agenda
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to create and maintain productive work relationships
  • Team-oriented and able to perform tasks where time management is key
  • Must have good interpersonal communication skills
  • Financial expertise and skills to effectively deliver the responsibilities outlined above including knowledge and familiarization with financial systems and other appropriate software
  • Ability to travel, including to international locations as needed to support the business
  • Ability and desire to progress to greater levels of financial management responsibility, with the ability to relocate in the future for the right opportunity

Required Experience
  • Minimum 8 years related experience in manufacturing environment. Automotive preferred.
