Your Impact:

At Jacobs, our Power Solutions team is geared towards providing a more integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation and storage solutions space. We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand side management strategies.

As a vital member of our team, you’ll be recognized as an industry leader and expert within Jacobs and spearhead our growing Wind Generation business. This is a global role with a primary focus on the European and North American markets, but you’ll be coordinating and working across multiple disciplines and regions to leverage Jacobs’ advisory, planning, permitting, and engineering expertise to strengthen our position in the wind generation market.

At Jacobs you’ll be instrumental in the growth and development of our Wind Generation business strategy. You’ll contribute to our alternative energy wind projects/initiatives that have a significant impact upon our business. We’ll ask you to leverage your industry relationships and expertise to position Jacobs for upcoming opportunities to expand our growing business of delivering complex wind power programs.

Your focus will be on maintaining Jacobs at the forefront the developing wind power sector, you'll lead and support global pursuits and projects across Jacobs’ markets.
You will have a strong focus on addressing challenges by applying market knowledge, technical competencies, and strategic insight in collaboration with fellow technical experts. You will routinely interact with the other Leaders in Energy Transition, Power and Energy, Sustainability, Environmental, Digital and other solution areas to develop and implement strategies to better integrate your technical area into Jacobs.
Key attributes for the successful candidate will be proven technology experience across some or all of the following areas:
•utility scale wind power project development and execution (onshore and/or offshore);
•deep understanding of wind turbine technologies and emerging innovation areas;
•experience of hybridised renewable\energy storage solutions incorporating wind power solutions;
•challenges of grid connection of wind power installations; and
•cross sector applications for wind power such as decarbonisation of water, transport, infrastructure utilising renewables.

You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with our Operations and Sales teams to provide client focus and support, innovative solutions to clients most challenging problems, connect and nurture our technical resources and evolve a wind power technical practise that is future ready and aligned with our regional growth strategy.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of study. Membership of a recognised professional institution /organisation preferably at a Fellowship level.
Significant discipline/ industry presence recognised and valued by Jacobs’ clients at international level.
Ability to market and sell our services to internal and external clients with demonstrable experience of delivering profitable business growth
Deep knowledge of the European wind industry, its players, and market outlook and relationships with wind power developers, suppliers, or utilities involved in the development of wind projects in key geographies
Outstanding leadership skills to inspire our teams and the ability to identify suitable candidates to help grow our capabilities
Strategic and innovation mindset
Strong communication skills to articulate a clear technical direction with good social, networking and presentation skills.
