Position: Metal Fabrication Specialist (m/w/d)

Location: Heilbronn
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure precise positioning and alignment of weld joints according to construction specifications.
• Execute welding sequences as defined by technical instructions and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
• Inspect dimensions and details of weld preparation and completed weld seams.
• Assess technical equipment for suitability with welding and filler materials; manage labeling, storage, and handling of auxiliary tools and devices.
• Provide professional guidance, support, and supervision to welding personnel.
• Monitor adherence to all valid welding and work instructions (WPS/AA) and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct inspections of components before, during, and after welding processes.
• Document and guarantee traceability of manufactured assemblies using inspection protocols.
• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods including Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on welds, assemblies, and base materials following applicable standards.
• Evaluate and document test results according to relevant norms, specifications, and procedural instructions.
• Report any deviations or non-conformities detected during inspections.
• Fulfill all tasks in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17635, including setting up and verifying testing equipment, conducting tests, and collaborating with quality management and welding specialists to update test procedures.
• Represent supervisors during their absence, including organizational and workplace planning.
• Oversee compliance with organizational and quality production standards.
• Contribute to process optimization by suggesting improvements.
• Plan and monitor order execution with respect to safety, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Organize and maintain workplace standards for safety, order, and cleanliness following 5S/SQCDP principles.
• Prepare workstations and ensure compliance with all operational instructions.

Your Profile

• Completed vocational training in the metalworking sector with several years of practical experience.
• Solid knowledge of MAG welding processes, ideally supported by valid welding certificates.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Preferably possess a forklift license and/or valid authorization to operate bridge and portal cranes.
• High commitment, responsibility, initiative, and a strong team-oriented approach.
