The position is based in Berlin. The OPC in NiCKEL Germany implements and maintains the risk management and control system. The OPC works in compliance with the policies, procedures and internal guidelines issued by the independent control functions (Risk, Compliance and Legal) and in compliance with external regulatory and supervisory requirements. The local OPC is part of the Scope of the General Secretary functions and works closely with the OPC Central team on all operational risk issues.
Identify, evaluate and manage the Operational Risks:
Manage the continuous updating of the Risk Mapping (RCSA) and its validation by the appropriate hierarchical level: identification and evaluation of processes and significant associated risks, contribution to the definition and monitoring of risk mitigation measures.
Analyze and identify the needs concerning the taxonomy of risks, the mapping of processes and the mapping of the organization within its scope.
Ensure consistency between the RCSA and the Control Plan (LCP) of the direction.
Management of Historical and External Incidents:
Collect incidents, analyze them and upload/update it in the dedicated tool.
Definition, jointly with the stakeholders, the corrective measures to be implemented in order to mitigate risks.
Be aware of external incidents in order to take them into account, if appropriate.
Organization and Procedures:
Ensures that the procedures within the scope are correctly stored and updated, with a correct local implementation of the Group’s requirements and proposing adjustments if necessary.
Ensure the respect of the procedures.
Controls and Control Plans:
Define and update the local control plan (LCP) according to the Business Control Libraries (CCL) and according to the result of the risk assessment, regulations and other risk related events (historical incidents, control results, external events, audit missions, etc...).
Execute and/or coordinate control plans, enter the results in the dedicated tool and follow up on the remediation action plans defined with the stakeholders.
Action Plan, Recommendations and permanent control actions:
Organize the follow-up of findings and recommendations issued internally and externally and ensure their timely execution.
Contribute to the identification, creation, follow-up and closing of the first line of defense action plans.
Alerts and Reporting:
Report and give the necessary alerts related to any operational risk incidents to the appropriate management level and to the relevant control functions.
Provide periodic reports to management and control functions
Governance and Committee:
Strong participation in the preparation of the monthly permanent control Committee (co-working with OPC Nickel France).
Provide support and advice in the validation process of new activities.
Awareness, training and consulting:
Ensure that employees are aware of operational risk and permanent control
