We are looking for Payroll Specialist, who will manage payroll processes for our German offices, with the role based in Düsseldorf. You’ll also act as the main point of contact for both employees and external vendors regarding payroll subjects, so a strong service-oriented approach and a high awareness of urgency are essential.

These interesting tasks and activities await you:
Calculate various payroll computations including overtime, vacation balances, prorated pay, retro pay, shift differentials, pension, insurances, flexible benefit plans, etc.
Complete year-end tax, accounting processes and amendments
Be responsible for German employer tax
Execute Payroll and Human Resources policies and processes
Deliver Payroll and Human Resources services
Provide functional expertise
Provide project support as well as Payroll delivery and data, such as:
Input collation and validation
SOX compliance
Payroll processing including post payroll reporting and submissions
Process automation
Handling/supporting global projects
Payroll transition

You bring the following knowledge and experience:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Studies/Accounting/Human Resources or demonstrable experience within the required area
Several years of professional experience in Payroll processing
Expertise in German Labor Relations, Laws, and Legislation including employer taxation
Solid understanding of Payroll, Human Resources Processes and Disciplines
Very good presentation and communication skills as well as excellent planning and organizational skills
Proactive, service-oriented attitude, sound analytical skills, and financial acuity
Secure ability to use Microsoft Applications (Excel (intermediate/advanced), Word, Outlook, MS Teams, etc.)
Self-motivated – the ability to work with minimum supervision
Team player – able to engage at all levels
Adaptable with a “can-do” attitude
Very strong German and English communication skills
