About the role

At Vaayu, the planet is our priority, with our customers’ decarbonization journeys being central to our mission to decelerate climate change. We’re looking for a personable, mid-weight PR account manager with a keen interest in building fruitful, mutually beneficial B2B relationships to join our fast-paced and purpose-driven Communications team.

In this unique, cross-functional role, you’ll be the go-to person for handling the marketing aspects of customer relationships, leading collaborations that make the most of partnerships and acting as the intermediary to launch joint communications opportunities with Vaayu. You will work closely with both internal and external teams to bring important carbon-reduction journeys to life and ensure they are amplified to their greatest potential.

Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strategic thinking, with a track record of taking collaborations from the ideas phase to execution and beyond. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a self-starter, highly organized and highly collaborative, thriving on delivering successful communication opportunities that can be implemented in days, not months or years.

This is a fully remote role that is part of the Comms, Marketing and Creative team.

Tasks

• Build and maintain a strong external network, including journalists, organizations, and event coordinators, to enhance visibility and outreach efforts.
• Act as the main point of contact for collaborative communications, marketing activations, and partnership-driven initiatives.
• Develop and deliver strategic communication plans tailored to Vaayu’s mission, offering guidance on impactful campaigns for customers.
• Manage and cultivate strong relationships with customers, exploring ways to spotlight their sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives.
• Lead the planning and execution of collaborative opportunities such as webinars, content creation, and joint campaigns to maximize partnership impact.
• Manage project budgets efficiently, ensuring cost-effective execution of partnership activities.
• Collaborate closely with both external partners and internal teams, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of communications strategies.
• Amplify key messages across channels, driving engagement and fostering a community around climate action.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in a people-facing B2B and/or B2B2C public relations role
• A proven track record of maximizing and amplifying partnerships
• A self-starter who is able to own campaigns from the idea-generation phase to execution with minimal supervision
• Creative and strategic thinker who enjoys finding solutions for complex challenges and can identify exciting comms opportunities, carving out new avenues for reach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders, whether in written form, in-person or online
• Highly collaborative - you'll be working with customers as well as a remote and diverse team, including sustainability, science and engineering experts
• Fluent in English

Additional useful experience:

• A passion for solving climate change
• Existing network in the PR, retail, and/or sustainability space (e.g. with journalists, events organizers, retail brands, non-profit organizations)
• Holding a past position such as Senior Account Executive/Account Manager in an agency or an in-house communications mid-weight role
• Knowledge of global supply chains, carbon footprinting and/or corporate climate reporting gained by working with fashion, beauty or consumer goods brands
• Other European languages are a bonus but not a necessity
