Position Details

Job Title: Press and Tool Setup Technician Location: Pforzheim Employment Type: Full-time Working Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week

Your Responsibilities

• Independently setting up and optimizing press and forming processes for prototype and small batch production, including manual lever presses, hydraulic bending presses, and swing bending machines.
• Supervising and guiding team members and insert workers during production.
• Performing first article inspections according to technical drawings and approving manufactured parts.
• Monitoring and documenting production steps, including operator self-inspection, using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and test indicators.
• Operating and programming measuring devices like projectors and coordinate measuring machines (e.g., Keyence IM6125).
• Designing and constructing fixtures and tools using CAD software (VISI 3D) where applicable and after appropriate training.
• Potential to take on full responsibility for production planning and preparation, including leadership duties, following sufficient qualification and onboarding.

Your Profile

• Completed training as a tool mechanic, machine and plant operator, or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Independent work style with a strong commitment to quality.
• Good command of German, resilience, careful working habits, and strong teamwork skills.
