Tasks

  • As a member of Brain Products’ Scientific Support team, you provide expert support to researchers studying EEG signals, addressing their questions on optimal data analysis techniques.
  • Offer professional advice on the proper application of signal processing methods for EEG and other neurophysiological data using our signal analysis software, BrainVision Analyzer 2.
  • Communicate with customers primarily via email, occasionally through phone calls, and using online communication tools.
  • Analyze and replicate customer-reported issues, assisting them with effective remote troubleshooting.
  • Provide tailored consultation on analysis strategies aligned with the specific research objectives of our customers.
  • Support the preparation of workshops, webinars, and other educational or training projects, and actively participate in teaching sessions conducted both on-site and online.
  • Create engaging training materials (e.g., tutorial articles) and contribute to the development of user documentation, such as manuals.
  • Represent the company at international scientific conferences, exchanging directly with customers and building relationships within the scientific community.
  • Identify emerging scientific advancements and evolving research needs (e.g., through conference participation), compile user feedback, and contribute to the ongoing improvement and innovation of our analysis software.
  • Actively collaborate within the team, sharing your expertise while learning from your colleagues to foster knowledge exchange and collective growth.

Requirements

  • Academic degree and research experience in a relevant field, such as Neurosciences, Psychology, Biophysics, Biomedical Technology or Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience with EEG experiments conducted within the framework of research studies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of signal processing techniques and hands-on expertise in analyzing neurophysiological or EEG data.
  • Familiarity with commonly used signal processing tools or scripting languages (experience with our Analyzer software is advantageous but not required).
  • A strong solution-oriented mindset and a high level of motivation to investigate and resolve issues with unclear origins.
  • Solid understanding of the mathematical foundations of signal processing and the principles of software application.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of German is a plus but not essential).
  • Proficiency in explaining complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills and a cooperative attitude.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion for conferences, workshops, or similar events.
