Stellenbeschreibung

What is Glow25?

Hey! We areGlow25 – a young, rapidly growing beauty and well-aging company from Berlin. Our mission is to create Glow moments and empower our customers to unleash their beauty and full potential.

We might be a bit biased, but we think working with us is really fun. We’re a remote-first team (our team members are currently spread across Germany), and it’s important to us to build strong connections despite the physical distance and, above all, to have a great time at work.

And that’s where you come in! We’re continuing to grow strongly and are looking for empathetic, smart, resilient, and values-driven colleagues who can support us with their knowledge and unique personality. We have big plans and want you to be able to give your best as well!

These are our current challenges and future goals:

Glow25 is looking for a Senior Buying Manager (all genders) with a keen eye for packaging, starting immediately. You will be responsible for sourcing all packaging materials and ensuring we get the best deals – without compromising on quality, sustainability, or timely delivery.

This is where we need your support:

  • Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management: You will develop and implement sourcing strategies for packaging materials, focusing on quality, cost, and sustainability. You will identify and manage a global network of suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the best value for the company. Additionally, you will maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Cost Management: You will lead cost-saving initiatives, including value analysis, material substitution, and process improvements. You will monitor market trends and price fluctuations to anticipate changes and respond appropriately.
  • Sustainability and Compliance: You will stay up-to-date with regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  • Quality Assurance and Innovation: You will work closely with our quality assurance and product development teams to ensure all materials meet specifications and foster innovation through new materials and designs.
  • Risk Management: You will identify risks in material procurement, develop contingency plans, and minimize disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Process Improvement: You will evaluate procurement processes, enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will coordinate with product development, marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment of strategies and goals.

You have the following experience:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Packaging Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in sourcing packaging materials.
  • You possess high expertise in negotiation and contract management.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of packaging materials, suppliers, and industry trends.
  • You have experience with sustainable packaging initiatives and regulatory compliance.
  • You are fluent in both German (C1) and English (C1).

These are traits that describe you:

  • You take initiative and don’t wait for tasks to be assigned to you.
  • You adapt easily to new situations and remain calm even with unexpected changes.
  • You communicate clearly and persuasively, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
  • You handle conflicts skillfully and find solutions that work for all parties involved.
  • You have a good sense of how others think and know how to build effective relationships.
  • You work great in a team and contribute to achieving our common goals.

That's something you can look forward to:

  • Flexible working hours and time tracking.
  • Unlimited access to the latest courses on Tech, Business, Leadership, and mental/physical well-being through your Udemy account.
  • Top-notch equipment, which we rent through Grover and conveniently deliver to your home.
  • A generous 40% discount on our entire product range in the shop.
  • 30 days of vacation plus the option to take up to 10 additional unpaid days off – because sometimes you need a little break.
  • Company health insurance that includes reimbursement for additional services worth €600 per year (e.g., vision aids, dental cleaning, etc.).
  • Glow Card: With your prepaid credit card, you can shop at selected providers in your region. You receive €50 each month, which adds up to a bonus of €600 per year!
  • After successfully completing your probation period, we offer a company pension scheme with an annual contribution of at least €600. And here’s the kicker: If you contribute to the pension scheme yourself, you’ll receive an additional 20% on top.
  • We don’t mean to brag, but we think our Kununu score speaks for itself. We love that our employees are so happy here, and we think that’s worth sharing!

Yay! You've made it this far!

If you're still reading, there's a good chance we're a match.

There's one more thing we want to share: Dare to apply! Especially if you're a woman or from an underrepresented group. Even if you can't tick all the boxes, we encourage you to apply anyway. We believe that a diverse range of perspectives and experiences strengthens a team – and the stronger our team is, the better we can achieve our mission of helping people energize their daily lives.
