Senior Consultant — Social Psychiatry & Psychotherapy (m/w/d) — Schwerin Region About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Consultant specializing in Social Psychiatry and Psychotherapy to join a highly regarded social psychiatric center in the Schwerin region. This permanent position involves direct employment with the institution, supported by Doc PersonalBeratung, which facilitates your application process free of charge until contract signing.

Your Profile

• You hold a valid German medical license (Approbation).
• You have completed specialist training in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, or possess an equivalent specialist qualification with additional psychotherapy certification.
• Extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health disorders.
• A creative and committed approach to patient care.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Motivation to develop and enhance modern care structures.
• Flexibility and a commitment to continuous professional and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with diverse psychiatric conditions.
• Conducting individual and group psychotherapy sessions tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including medical specialists, psychotherapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Participating in case conferences and quality assurance meetings to maintain high standards of care.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative therapeutic approaches and care models.
• Supporting administrative processes and documentation in coordination with trained colleagues.
