(Senior) Financial Controller (m/w/d)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented and commercially-minded Controller to join our finance team in Berlin. As a vital part of the team the (Senior) Controller will focus on management reporting, budgeting and ad hoc financial analysis, and work directly with the CFO. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively within the finance team and other teams throughout the company. We are a growing and entrepreneurial team and plenty of opportunities to broaden your skills and develop with the role will be available.
ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:
- Compile monthly management and investor reporting
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, and lead budget reviews with other departments in the company
- Ensure accurate and timely cash flow reporting, forecasting, and analysis
- Develop a deep understanding of the business and its financial performance metrics
- Help organize and structure financial data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility to facilitate complex analysis and reporting
- Support the CFO on selective ad-hoc analyses
- Develop and analyze revenue and overhead reports for senior stakeholders across the company
- Leverage data analysis to identify business opportunities, delivering commercial results that lead to measurable improvements in business metrics
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 3-5 years of relevant and proven experience in an FP&A/Controlling
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with teams across the business and external parties
- Advanced user of Excel; Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g. Datev, Quickbooks) and cash flow tools like Agicap is a plus
- Experience in a SaaS or software company is a plus
- Needs to be comfortable to work in an entrepreneurial environment in a growth company
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in English is required; German is a plus
