The following challenges await you:

  • You will advise the management of the Heraeus Group on issues relating to the management of the portfolio of companies and investments and therefore become an essential part of the active portfolio management of the Heraeus Group.
  • You will analyse relevant trends for Heraeus and assess their impact on various Heraeus portfolio companies.
  • You will identify and analyse new business areas of interest for Heraeus as well as specific investment opportunities. You will be involved in the subsequent implementation of these investments (e.g. through M&A, investments, and partnerships).
  • You will also contribute by continuously questioning the role of the companies in the existing portfolio and support them in maximising value.
  • You will maintain an external network of consultants and other market participants, which you will actively use to generate ideas.
  • You will participate in the conceptualisation of value creation plans for individual portfolio companies and be involved in monitoring the successful implementation of these plans.

  • Your profile:

  • Successfully completed university degree in the field of economics, industrial engineering, business informatics, natural sciences, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience (at least 3 to 5 years) in strategy consulting and/or portfolio development, ideally in one of the top-tier strategy consultancies or private equity funds
  • Know-how in the management of complex, strategic projects
  • Solutions- and results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent analytical and social skills, as well as flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a team
