Senior Physician (m/w/d) in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery with Focus on Hand and Spine in the Nuremberg Area YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Physician (m/w/d) to join a well-established hospital in the Nuremberg region. This position offers a permanent employment contract directly with the hospital. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading and managing the clinical care of both inpatient and outpatient cases within orthopedics, trauma surgery, hand, and spine surgery.
• Supervising and mentoring assistant physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and professional development.
• Active participation in the accident insurance procedures (VAV) including care for severely injured patients.
• Contribution to the senior physician on-call service as an integral part of your duties.
• Commitment to continuous professional development through participation in advanced training and educational programs.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Board-certified specialist in surgery with a focus on trauma surgery, or in orthopedics and trauma surgery with additional qualifications in specialized trauma surgery or specialized operative orthopedics.
• Fulfillment of the formal requirements for permanent representation as a D-physician (D-Arzt).
• Possession of a personal medical specialization or focus area, with a willingness to further develop this expertise within our institution.
• Proven independent surgical skills particularly in traumatology and endoprosthetics.
• Strong team orientation, excellent communication skills, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration.
