The job holder has to develop and maintain the analyis software which is part of the SPR Analytical Biosensor System produced by Bruker Daltonics. The analysis software is used as a high-level tool to derive results from the so-called SPR sensorgrams. Results are then typically reported in to 3rd party systems. The job holder will be part of a small and highly dedicated team.


Developing exceptional, high-quality, testable software and excellent user experiences in .NET C# using WPF controls

Focus on the analyis software to calculate high-level results from the recorded SPR-Biosensor data

Translating ideas coming from customers and our internal application team into concrete and consistent specifications

Accompany the design and development of a new analysis application

Designing the user interface using WPF

Implementing specified subcomponents

Writting unit tests for automated testing


University degree or PhD (informatics, engineering disciplines, or natural science)

(3 years experience with C# / WPF development

Familiar with UX principles and a feel for the needs of the user by bringing an empathetic mindset to every interface you build

Knowledge of the most common desing patterns like MVVM or those known from the GoF

You live for the design details, and revel in bringing designs to life

You have a passion for developing exceptional, high-quality, testable software and excellent user experiences

Logical and scientific thinking and a deep understanding of the idea of object oriented programming

Interest in natural science. It is important to get a comprehensive understanding about what our instruments are used for in pharmaceutical research

Good English skills since you will also work with colleagues in other countries
