The Volkswagen Group is one of the leading manufactures of automobiles and commercial vehicles worldwide.

We – the supplier management organization – are the technical part within the purchasing organization. We are responsible for risk identification and mitigation for the full supply chain.
Our software team is a growing team with passion for all kinds of automotive software, making sure to have the best-in-class software supply chain to ensure and safeguard the maturity and on-time-delivery of software from our suppliers.
We are using agile methods were appropriated understanding that it´s not always the best method to choose.

• Conduct risk analysis of different software supplies together with all necessary internal stakeholders during the whole software development life cycle
• Develop risk mitigation strategies in close cooperation with software suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Safeguard all supplier software releases according to the agreed mile stones
• Regular status reviews and continuous tracking and reporting (escalation if needed)
• Support of the purchasing project organization as well as task forces

• Successfully completed degree in computer science / engineering / physics or similar qualification
• Fun in technology and science of any kind
• Several years of professional experience in software development (preferably automotive or embedded software)
• Strong skills in automotive software development processes and project management
• Strong problem solving abilities
• Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Fluent German and English, spoken and written
• Willingness to travel
