Spare Parts Manager (m/f/d) – Erlangen

• Hourly wage: from €27 + bonuses

• The roles and responsibilities of the Spare Parts Specialist/Manager cover the whole Project/Plant Lifecycle.
• Tendering Stage /Pre-acquisition
• Reviews the Customer Specifications from the perspective of spares to identify requirements such as: reliability and availability criteria, delivery of the initial stock of spares etc.
• Prepares /reviews a Spare Parts Concept customized for different Reference Designs /Modules.
• Maintaining standard spare parts lists and spare parts material master
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of suitable processes and tools for technical and commercial spare parts management

• Project Execution (or Engineering Design of a Reference Project)
• Liaises with the Technical Project Manager and works closely with the RAM Specialists as well as Sub-project Managers (“POs”) to complete and validate the initial stock of spares and meet any other requirement.
• Supporting the technical clarification of parts identification
• Works with the Engineering Teams/Disciplines, Procurement and Logistics to ensure that the spares requirements are met.
• Orders with Procurement the spare parts with sufficient lead time and stored at the specific storage locations.
• Works closely with Logistics Manager and Site Management to ensure that the spares parts and tools are shipped, and delivered, and properly stored at the Storage Locations.
• Plant Operation providing Customer Services or Spares Delivery as part of a (Long Term) Service Agreement
• During the warranty period ensures that the replenishment or additional spares are ordered with sufficient time
• Supports Siemens Energy, during Post-Warranty Period according to Customer’s contractual requirements (availability of spares, supply spares as per expected delivery time).
• In case of an ongoing/signed Service Agreements (during warranty and post-warranty), the Spare Parts specialist verifies that the requirements are met, such as spares usage and inventory levels by supervising actual stocks to ensure that quantities are above minimum stock level, meeting delivery times for replenishment spares, and replacement of spares exceeding the Shelf Life, or after refurbishment /replacement of equipment /sub-systems.
• Liaises with the RAM team, and Service Organization, to review operational reliability of components, and update spare parts policy accordingly, this to ensure that competitive offers are prepared.

Profile required:

• Completed university degree or equivalent education, preferably in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or process engineering
• At least 3-5 years of experience with product design, product service or order processing with experience in spare parts management and inventory control
• Good knowledge of technical data sources (configuration documents, material masters, parts lists, drawings and product changes) and sound knowledge of the IT applications used, such as MS Office, SAP, PCM, etc.
• Advanced MS Office 365 application skills, preferably some experience in data exploration and a basic knowledge of SAP
• English at an advanced level, German is a plus
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to fit into a multicultural and cross-regional work team, but also enjoy working independently
• Highly motivated to work in an international matrix organization and collaborate cross-functionally Work independently and in self-directed, agile teams;
