Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) is Germany’s center of excellence for digital engineering (www.hpi.de). The Digital Engineering Faculty, founded jointly by the University of Potsdam and HPI, offers a highly practical and engineering-oriented computer science study program, which is unique throughout Germany. HPI’s university research earns international recognition, with the main focus of its teaching and research on the foundations and applications of large, highly complex and networked IT systems.

In the course of our ongoing expansion, the Hasso Plattner Institute are currently seeking a

Strategic Project Manager (m/f/d)

for our location in Potsdam.

The position is permanent and full time or part time.
Designing, planning and owning company-wide mechanisms for implementing our strategy
Managing a broad set of stakeholders including HPI faculty & staff, Hasso Plattner Foundation and University of Potsdam
Monitoring strategy implementation including reporting on KPIs and accompanying evaluations
Maintaining regular and high-quality internal communication, including conception and implementation of suitable networking and participation formats for internal stakeholders
Supporting the process of priority setting for the 2025+ development of HPI
Researching on trends in high-quality teaching, academic research & student experience
Completed master’s degree, ideally PhD, and relevant work experience
Multi-Project Management: Ability to juggle and keep track of several projects at once
Experience working through organizational mechanisms
Very strong communicator with fluency in both German and English
Excellent analytical skills
Great organizational skills and structured way of working
Hands-on mentality, independent way of working and a quick grasp of new tasks
Ability to inspire and mobilize stakeholders in transformation processes and build relationships
Ability to work constructively and productively in a team environment
