For Siemens Energy in Erlangen , we are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/d) to ensure the quality of auxiliary systems for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators through supplier qualification, development, and quality assurance in a global supply chain environment .
Your Responsibilities:
Lead and support cross-functional teams in supplier qualification by assessing supplier capabilities and auditing quality management systems and processes
Manage product and process qualification throughout the complete PPQ cycle and approve supplier processes via submitted Manufacturing Quality Control Plans
Conduct source, virtual, and desk inspections of component and system suppliers within your area of responsibility
Coordinate nonconformance processing at supplier level and ensure implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
Monitor and analyze supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adjust quality, inspection, and development activities accordingly
Facilitate and support supplier qualification and development status meetings, ensuring projects stay on track and potential risks are identified early
Utilize digitalization tools, quality management databases, and systems to enhance processes and ensure data quality and transparency
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement risk mitigation strategies for quality issues
Your Profile:
Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a technical field and/or in Supply Chain Management or Quality Management
Experience with industrial process technology and/or auxiliary systems in energy generation plants is advantageous
Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and strong knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements; additional certifications in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are welcome
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and quality & risk management tools
Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time
Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international environment
