The System Specialist – Technical Support for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for assisting with the initiation, design, development, and implementation of product improvements and changes. This position also provides real time technical support to Field Service teams.

This position is part of the Global Technical Support Team and will be based out of our office in Munich, Germany. You will report to the Senior Manager responsible for leading a team of 10+ support engineers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate the current implementation of the complete system, report and recommend improvements, modifications or service tooling that can be implemented on the products to peers, to reduce the cost and complexity for the service organization.
  • Monitor, manage, and drive corrective actions for escalations arising from system misalignments.
  • Establish a System Level Mentoring and Support framework for other GPTS and Field associates for resolving System Level Issues.
  • Champion the connectivity of Automation and CIT products by evaluating and measuring their performance against an established connectivity framework and driving improvements in identified action areas.
  • Support GPTS NPD Core Team members in concept design reviews to ensure alignment with connectivity framework and system requirements.

Expected result:

  • Key contributor to the holistic strategy for “The System”:
    Thinks holistically around the solution and understands if something happens in the automation realm what are the implication to CIT, CCIA and Heme/UA.
  • Bring “system thinking” to GPTS and Field Associates
  • Establish alignment of system level service documentation and training.
  • Global support to resolve multi-system issues at customers
  • Work with system installation teams with focus of efficiency
  • Ability of principal critical conversations

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, computer science or related technical field with proven experience of relevant instrument experience in a regulated industry

  • Demonstrates technical experience, strong analytical skills, and good judgment to solve problems; analyses information and standard practices to make judgments

  • Must be willing to travel internationally and domestically approximately 20-30% of the time

  • Fluent English

  • Advanced MS Office skills, Outlook Word, Excel, Internet

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Experience in the medical device or related industry

  • Experience with relevant software programs such as Oracle Business Intelligence Module Skill and Microsoft Power BI
