Technical Writer - Specification Team Member (m/w/d)

We are seeking a Technical Writer - Specification Team Member (M/F/D) for our client, SOFHA, a Berlin-based software company with over 40 years of expertise in high-performance image processing for the professional printing industry.

SOFHA Work with leading printer manufacturers, especially in Japan, to create smart print workflow solutions using industry standards like Adobe PostScript®, Adobe PDF Print Engine®, and JDF/JMF. The software runs on Linux, and the design user interfaces for Windows, macOS, and web applications. With a team of around 50 international professionals, they offer a collaborative culture, flexible work arrangements, and continuous learning opportunities.

Tasks

• Create and manage product specifications using MadCapFlare.
• Use Jira to track and manage product specification tasks.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to gather technical requirements and document them clearly and effectively.
• Work closely with quality assurance specialists to refine specifications based on testing feedback and system updates.
• Ensure documentation meets quality standards by following internal authoring guidelines.
• Utilize tools like Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Greenshot to create and enhance visual elements.
• Oversee the publication of technical specifications, ensuring alignment with release schedules.
• Maintain accuracy, clarity, and completeness across all documentation.

Requirements

✅ University degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience in technicaldocumentation (TekomCertificationpreferred).

✅ Strong command of the English language. German language command is a plus.

✅ Minimalistic writing style using structured authoring principles to maximize content reusability.
