This is an exciting position to join our Transport team and bring your experience to the front. You will get the opportunity to get directly involved in the way we shape some of our transport solutions as well as bring new insight into expanding areas for Vestas. Sound good so far? Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe. We are responsible for the Sales function, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout these regions. We seek to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, and we aim to make Vestas North and Central Europe the best place to work.

The Transport Execution department is responsible for handling the entire supply chain from manufacturing plant to project site within NCE region. The department has an open and informal culture, where team-work and good communication is the key to our success. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

• Support for external Suppliers in transportation and lifting of our components, including training and supervising when necessary
• First entry surveys in new countries & Ports
• Evaluation of surveys
• Troubleshooting and investigation for incidents, interacting with internal stakeholders as well as external (suppliers, insurance, customers etc)
• Implementation of new transport solutions from VPS into NCE region, as well as new regions

• You will have extensive (10yrs) technical experience within transport and lifting equipment
• Ability to instruct and transfer knowledge at different organisational levels
• You will have a good understanding of implementing new solutions, maybe coming from a sub-supplier, surveyor, manufacturer or similar
• Heavy industry experience, wind is ideal but other similar industries like oil & gas would also be welcomed
• Practical knowledge - with your experience you will be able to guide on the reality of what can and what cannot be done
• Proven experience of handling training for others, incident investigation, surveys

• A good collaborator with great communication skills. Interacting with colleagues across departments, the region, in new locations and also external stakeholders with suppliers or customers as well

Additional Information

Position Location: Location is flexible within Northern Central Europe – 30% travel to ports within Europe - Germany, UK, Ireland, Scotland, Poland, the Nordics, and Balkans.
