Tasks
Engineering Design & Prototyping: Transform your ideas into tangible prototypes, enhancing the reliability and performance of mechanical systems.
Analysis & Testing: Conduct tests and simulations to analyze the performance of mechanical components and systems, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
Collaborative Projects: Collaborate with engineers to integrate new instrumentation into our materials acceleration platform, advancing our autonomous catalyst discovery platform.
Technical Documentation: Help prepare and maintain technical documentation, including reports, schematics, and process flows for existing and new systems.
3D Modeling & CAD: Assist in creating and refining 3D models, CAD designs, and simulations to support engineering tasks.
Requirements
What You'll Need
Solid Engineering Knowledge: A strong grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals, with experience using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.
Passion for Clean Tech & Automation: A deep interest in sustainable technologies and the transformative role of automation and robotics in accelerating materials breakthroughs.
Problem-Solving Mindset: A natural ability to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions that move projects forward.
Collaborative Spirit: Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams of engineers, researchers, and technical specialists.
Proactive & Organized: Capable of juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining focus and delivering high-quality work.
Nice to Have:
Experience with materials science or energy systems.
Familiarity with rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies.
Exposure to simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
Knowledge of scripting for automated hardware testing.
