You want to be responsible not for a single device, but for orchestrating a whole fleet? At Energyminer we’re working on the energy transition: the first hydroelectric fleet is taking shape on the Rhine.
As Edge / IoT Software Deveolper, you’ll build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps a fleet of distributed Linux-based field devices running, updated, and observable. Our devices collect and process operational data from power plants to shape the future of renewables.
What you’ll do:
- Manage deployment, updates, and configuration across a distributed device fleet
- Set up and improve monitoring, logging, and remote diagnostics for systems that can’t be physically accessed
- Improve reliability and recoverability of systems operating in demanding real-world environments
- Define stable, well-documented interfaces between hardware and software components
- Build automated tests and support structured release processes
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with embedded Linux systems, ideally on single-board computers (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
- Practical programming experience in Python; C/C++ or Go is a strong plus
- Solid Linux and networking fundamentals
- Version control, code review, automated testing, and controlled releases are part of how you work
- A structured, hands-on mindset and a strong desire to learn
Nice to have:
- System hardening and cybersecurity
- AWS IoT Core / MQTT · automated software deployment
- Docker and container orchestration
- Experience with industrial or energy infrastructure
